Hello there! A message from Tír na nÓg Children’s Foundation founder, Louise Quill
I began working in Tanzania in 2006. Whilst there I could see a great need for a facility that would provide a family unit for the orphaned and abandoned children of Tanzania. The Tír na nÓg Children’s Foundation was created to alleviate the suffering of Tanzanian children and to provide a home where they would be nurtured in a loving, safe environment. Our aim at Tír na nÓg is to educate these children according to their abilities. We believe in developing not only schools to create the leaders of tomorrow, but also long-term sustainable projects to provide employment for local people. We continue to strive in all our endeavours so that Tanzanian children can continue to thrive from generation to generation.
Children Flourish When Nurtured In A Peaceful And Stable Environment

The Tír na nÓg Mission
To enhance the quality of life of the children in our care, who have been orphaned or abandoned. To invest in these children – the leaders of tomorrow – through education and guidance. Our mission gives witness to our beliefs of love and hope. The world’s most precious, yet most vulnerable, resource is its children. What children become, and the future society they create largely depends on what children learn in the present. Children flourish when nurtured in a peaceful, stable environment, with loving, caring people and communities who teach them positive values. Thus, we strive to provide the conditions, training and resources needed to help children grow mentally, physically and spiritually in those values that assure a fruitful and happy future. We welcome the co-operation and assistance from like-minded individuals, businesses and organisations in helping the poor and disadvantaged.
